Candy Girl, you are my world...

The girls were excited about dressing up for Halloween this year. They told us exactly what they wanted to be and managed to stick with their decisions. After we found things that we had around the house, we only had to purchase a few items to fill in the blanks. You've got to love creativity on a budget.

Tiara and Radiance wanted to be rock stars.

At the end of the night, they were seriously trying to figure out a way to sleep
so they wouldn't mess up their eye make-up and purple & pink hair.

Taavia said she wanted to be an astronaut. I didn't know what inspired her but I thought it was a cool choice. Her daddy put together her little outfit and I thought she was adorable.

As we walked, we would hear other trick-or-treaters saying, "Cool! She has a jet pack!"
She would quietly asked, "Mama, are they talking about me? They like my jet pack?"

Then, she'd have the cutest, proudest, little grin on her face. She even managed to get a few extra goodies because some of the adults were impressed with her costume.

Not long ago, Reaghann practically lived in this dress.
Seriously, every morning as soon as she woke up she'd ask, "Where's my princess dress?"
So obviously, when I asked her what she wanted to be she chose a princess.

I found her a few accessories to change it up from her everyday princess uniform though.
Otherwise, she'd look like our "Everyday Reaghann". So now, she's a fairy princess.

When we got to my mama's house, she came out looking like this. She scared the heck out of my kids.
They almost knocked me down trying to get out of the way.

This had my mama so tickled. Crazy Lady!

This was Reaghann's first year really doing the trick-or-treat thing. She wanted to carry her own bucket of candy and walk just like her big sisters. She'd say, "I'm a big girl. I go with my kids."

Of course, towards the end, she asked for help. "It's too heavy"
until we'd get to another door and then it was, "I got it...trick-or-treat!"
Each time something was placed in her bucket, she'd get so excited, gasp and say, "They give me candy!"
Then she'd have the biggest smile on her face.

...and the club was jumpin' jumpin'!

These are some photos from the Party Hopper that we did in Cancun.
We went to three clubs in all. The first one was the Corona Bar.
We had lots of fun! We danced non-stop on the bars and stage.

The second club was Senor Frogs. Good times, good times!

Here are more photos from our Cancun trip.

It's the remix, baby!

Here are more layouts from October's Classy Coordinates kit. This was a Halloween themed collection.
For some reason, I never seem to scrap my girls' Halloween photos in the traditional colors.
So, I decided to do something different with this line.

These are photos from our last cruise. I don't eat seafood and my girls didn't either.
However, since then, I think they've switched camps on me...traders!
Anyway, I thought the colors worked for this set of photos.

Now, this was more of a birthday themed collection. I used it for some of my Cancun photos.
In these photos, we were out on a catamaran having lots of fun. Look at my mama showing out!
Is this what you would call, "being a cougar"? What happens in Mexico...
comes back to Texas when you're hanging with a scrapbooker.

...I've got all my sisters with me

This is one of my guest design team layouts for Classy Coordinates October kits using this line.
The photos are from the day my youngest turned 4 months old. I love babies at this age. They are so chubby and cuddly. I can tell from her wet clothes that she was seriously teething.

What's goin' on Wednesday

  • Here's a sample of some my photos waiting to be scrapped.
  • I have few Halloween costume requests: a rock star, movie star, and an astronaut.
  • I try to play music on my blog that reflects my personality and moods.
  • Why when I want to add some of my favorite songs to my playlist, I can't find the clean versions.
  • I know some hate to hear blog music and for that I apologize.
  • I really need to get my page kit making game up.
  • My cousin is having a B&W party this weekend, and if I plan to go then I need to go shopping.
  • I really appreciate those that seem to take an interest in what I have to share. Thank you!!
  • Why can't I really be true to who I am on MY blog for fear of offending someone?
  • If I be myself, will I end up talking to myself?
  • Does it really matter?

...cause I'm cool like that.

Summer is coming to an end. We've had rain everyday for at least a week and I've loved it.
Cooler weather is here and it feels wonderful. I've been able to have the windows open,
with the fans blowing, and fresh air circulating throughout the house. Lovely!

Here's a couple of layouts that I scrapped this week.
I guess the cooler temperatures inspired me to dig out photos from last Fall.

...keep it movin'

These are about our short time spent on Isla Mujeres. We were constantly being approached by vendors trying to sell their goods. However, we were not interested in buying anything.
So we tried to keep it movin'. We even ended up hiding out for a little while.

To escape the harrassment and heat, Ricky decided to go
diving off the docks while we waited to sail from the island.

I knew a girl name Nikki...

I'm still a guest design team member for Classy Coordinates monthly kit club.
September's kit is filled with papers from Nikki Sivils. To me, this line is very funky.
Honestly, it had me a little stumped at first. However, I like the layouts I completed.

This layout is about purchasing our new home.
It's been almost a year and I still miss our old home a little.

These are photos from our first day in Cancun. We went to relax in the hammocks. Ricky thought he would make a quick buck from America's Funniest Video by catching both me and my mama falling on our assets.
It didn't happen...sucks for him!

These are some of the photos from the night went Party Hopping in Cancun.
We had so much fun at the clubs!

asian dining

Here's a layout that I completed for a challenge.
Actually, I did two challenges. One challenge was using this sketch as inspiration.

Here's my layout.

The other was to use a non-scrapbook item on the page and I used chopsticks.
